MONTH GONE & POP TANGENT!!!

OKAY its been more than a month!! I have completely survived!!
In fact I have come to face the fact that there is a pretty good chance I will never watch television again!! Do I miss it? No!!
In fact my cravings have gone away. Only rarely will it hit me that I am missing a program. I do get nostalgic for the fall lineup that is coming. Now with the dawn of TV show iTunes and dvd series I am home free.
Although I think that watching a tv show on iTunes would be considered cheating so I haven’t yet, What’s odd is that I haven't watched a lot of films either. Its hard for me to sit still. I always want to do something.

I listen to a ton more music and have been buying more via iTUnes than I ever have. I decided to start reading Proust, which is insane I know but we are only doing 20 pages a week. That’s enough Proust.
I still haven’t been practicing as much as I should. Its tough to practice at 30 and now I know why the great diva’s don’t bother with coaching anymore. Although the music sounds like a jazzy mess instead of crisp Mozart but oh well. Doubtful is Mozart would give a crap. In fact if Mozart were alive he’d probably be working with Justin Timberlake.
That’s not a bad thing in my book I think he is creative. Well, as creative as one can be and still be popular. Too creative doesn’t jive. people are complaining about his CD but its the most creative pop Cd out there that sticks to the mainstream conscious. Who else? I don’t hear DePeche Mode or Imogene Heap on the Radio. Doubt I will hear much Tori Amos or STing anymore. ColdPlay is just a flavor of the month.
Please do not get me started on the pop girls. Christina A. has an incredible instrument. No offense to her, she is talented, I just don’t really listen to that stuff, it sounds overproduced. Now, justin’s sounds overproduced but it sounds like they meant it that way. Christina’s sounds like they ran it through a bunch of stuff. But, the girl can sing so I should pick someone else to rag on. Beyonce she can not sing. Its really not that she can’t sing its the sound of her voice, blah, its almost like J-Lo’s. No tone!! christina has depth, well she is a real singer, she could sing the alphabet and people would listen. These other chick singers SUCK!!! no tone. Everything sounds forced. Who else? Well, at least Britney Spears hides herself behind a ton of vocalists who can sing. There is some new girl now. OMG I can’t stand her voice its the most whiney voice I have ever heard. I know she does that song SOS. But she does some other song and I want to cry when I hear it. I wished she had hidden behind a choir.
But, I am sure she is a lovely girl and that is simply my opinion.
Besides the sad thing is someone is paying someone to get people on the radio why do you think you hear the same damn song over and over and over again.
Ok tangent. Perhaps I should write more, everyday.
I’ll try again tomorrow. I got away from the writing.
Besides I could definitely write about some interesting topics like “Why do Lesbians always look like they are on a hike but they are in the middle of NYC? That’s one I will never understand.
